Ms. Tengera has presented both nationally and internationally and published on midwifery and clinical topics. In 2020, Ms. Tengera was chosen to receive the Pedersen Award. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been unable to attend the ACNM Annual Meeting in person. She will attend the ACNM Annual Meeting virtually in 2021 and plans to attend in person in 2022.

Nola Holness, CNM, PhD is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida International University (FIU) and was in clinical practice at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She has served in education positions, including lecturer and faculty at FIU and the University of Miami, and clinical positions, including full scope midwifery and practice director positions. Dr. Holness serves on the Journal of Cultural Diversity Editorial Board, is an active ACNM member, and is a volunteer member of the ACMN Division of Global Engagement, Education Committee. She has numerous publications and presentations, including at ICM, focused on teen pregnancy around the world and the role of CMs and CNMs in the US. She had participated in global health clinical work and research in Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Haiti, and Russa.
Suzanne Carrington, CNM, DNP (and soon to be FACNM) is an Assistant Professor and in full scope clinical practice at the University of Colorado. She has served as Interim Midwifery Education Program Director at the University of Colorado and has held other full scope midwifery positions. Dr. Carrington has served on the ACNM Division of Advancement of Midwifery Clinical and Academic Education Committee, is active in her state ACNM affiliate, assisted the ACNM Foundation, and is currently a volunteer member of the ACMN Division of Global Engagement, Education Committee. She has numerous publications, presentations, and research efforts focused on clinical practice and midwifery student education. She serves on the Board of Directors for an international health-focused NGO and has taught life-savings skills to local healthcare workers in Nepal, Haiti, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.
